Aerosmith was formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970. The band originally featured lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer and rhythm guitarist Ray Tabano. The band's first big break came with the release of their 1973 album "Get Your Wings" which contained a re-recording of their song "Dream On".
