Omar Borkan Al Gala is an actor, director, and photographer from Baghdad, Iraq. He began his career in acting in 2003 when he starred in a short film, "Diet", which went on to win the award for Best Picture at the Baghdad International Film Festival. After that, Omar's career flourished. He acted in 21 more films—many of which were directed by himself or one of his friends—and he has won four Best Actor awards at film festivals around the world. He is perhaps most well-known for his role as Ali Al-Sa'edi in the hit TV show "The Garden". After a successful few years as an actor and director, Omar's focus turned to photography. He began by taking pictures of his friends, family members, and pets with his phone camera before receiving a Nikon D5100 for his 20th birthday. From then on, he was hooked! Omar has been featured in several photo exhibitions around the world and is recognized for his ability to capture feelings in the eyes of his subjects.
